As of June 2016, this former gym in Gärtnerstrasse offers space for up to 200 people. The stage consists of mobile
scissor-lift platforms and can be lowered to sit flush with
the floor, raised in steps or raised completely.

On the Urban Development Funding Day, visitors to the Alte Turnhalle cultural hall were able to find out about the "integrated town development concept" (ISEK).
Guests including Jochen Lange, vice president of the district administration of Lower Franconia, Bavarian parliament member Günther Felbinger, Sabine Sitter, deputy head of the district authority, Helga Schmidt-Neder, first mayor of Marktheidenfeld, and architect Johannes Hettiger, accepted Dr. Mario Paul's invitation to attend the Urban Development Funding Day in Lohr.
After the official opening of the new cultural hall, Jochen Lange, vice president of the district administration, immortalised himself in accordance with the tradition in Lohr by signing the old brick façade of the former gymnasium…
… Peter Häring, head of the Cultural Office and now in charge of the new cultural venue, also signed the wall.
Visitors to the former gymnasium were able to find out all about the history of the building and its new function in the new urban development concept.
Many visitors used the photo box to get a personal souvenir of the Urban Development Funding Day in the old gymnasium.
The guided tours of the building led by manager Maria Hoffmann were very well received.
Lohr's very own Snow White brought a touch of magic to the day.
Many visitors also attended the citizens' festival in the "Anlage" park across the road, enjoying a day of music by the "Reeds on stage" and the "Rossinis".
"Reeds on Stage" are a saxophone quartet from Lohr's Singing and Music School.
"Die Rossinis" are always a welcome sight in the region and provide for a relaxed atmosphere.
